edua restrepo castaño
Through audio-visual experimentation, research, and lived experience, I generate surreal narratives that examine societal constructs at the intersection of nature, time, and gender.
Through video, photography, and performance edua restrepo castaño creates surreal narratives that speak from a site where social constructions around nature, gender difference, and the diasporic condition overlap. These narratives are informed by biography, research, and the specific context in which they are realized. Having received a BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston, Eduardo went on to participate in Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and has exhibited in spaces such as: SOMA (Mexico,) Musée de l’Élysés (Switzerland,) and Bruce High Quality Foundation (New York,) Museum of Jaén (Spain,) and Arika, (UK.)
