The film documentary was shot in Greece called ‘Neighbors’. This film shows a metal recycling yard (scraps site) on the shores of the ”Prophet Daniel stream” in Votanikos. The Scraps yard owned by a man who goes by the name of Mr. Pappas has spent most of his life working there with his family for more than 40 years. Set within the environment of an ancient Olive Grove of Athens turned industrial area, surrounded by Roma settlements and refugee camps. The place where the video is shot is literally in the center of Athens, in an ancient area called Votanikos, where you can see ‘Acropolis’ if you are standing in the correct part of the scrap yard.

During this description of his story and conversation with other people who work there, the video highlights themes of patriarchy and immigration issues and also touches on the subject of Place and ownership of land by people in our contemporary patriarchal society.
